Lots of info there. As I understand it, this is a wheater (Heaven Hill mash bill) aged for 10 years. Since it's a single barrel, tasting notes will obviously vary. I'm just surprised they're not charging $100 for it!

Color: medium, ruddy brown.

Smell: Really nice. I pick up dark sweet cherries, maple syrup, mint, and charred corn. The oak influence smells sweeter than it does toasty - vanilla spice and leather.

Taste: Delicious. Sweet caramel on entry with the same secondary aromas as the nose (mint, charred corn, cherries). The midpalate isn't oaky or toasty, but there is plenty of wood influence in the form of vanilla spice and musty leather. Finish is more of the same, medium length.

Overall: This is a straight-up winner of a bourbon, and kind of a steal at $50 (at least in the bourbon world in which we live). This is every bit as good, if not better, than the 2016 BTAC Weller (12 year). There is a ton to appreciate, but it's smooth-sipping to boot. Easy "A" and highly recommended. Wow.
