Dewar's
Blended Scotch Whisky
Aged 12 Years
40% ABV (80 proof)
~$35 (sample provided)
Color: light straw/brown
Smell: mild and smooth. There's some honey, a vague granary sweetness, and a slight element of lemon peels. Pleasant, but not super deep.
Taste: exactly what you'd expect. Mild sweetness upfront, and then a tangy transition to citrus (lemon rind) and nuts, with lingering oak on the medium finish.
Overall: it's a "B-" for me. Good and smooth sipping...solid blend, but not complex or deep.
